Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking your dog photography session. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by the following terms:

1. Booking and Payment

• A non-refundable session fee is required to secure your booking. No dates will be held without this payment.
• The session fee covers the time and talent of the photographer, planning, travel (within Christchurch), and preparation of your final gallery.
• Final payment is due prior to the release of your edited images or prints.

2. Cancellations and Rescheduling

• If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Your session can be transferred to a new date, subject to availability.
• Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice may forfeit the session fee.
• In the case of severe weather or illness (human or pet), rescheduling will be arranged at no extra cost.

3. Refund Policy

• Due to the custom nature of photography, no refunds will be given on the basis of personal preference or subjective opinion of the final images. You are hiring the photographer for their artistic style and time.
• If for any reason the photographer cannot perform the session due to illness, accident, or unforeseen circumstances, all monies paid will be refunded or a reschedule offered.

4. Image Delivery

• Your gallery will be available within 2–3 weeks of your session date.
• The number of images delivered may vary depending on your package and how the session unfolds. No unedited or RAW files will be provided.

5. Artistic Style and Editing

• By booking a session, you acknowledge that you are familiar with the photographer's style and portfolio.
• All images are edited at the photographer's discretion. Additional retouching requests may incur a fee.

6. Use of Images

• The photographer retains the copyright to all images and may use them for marketing, website, social media, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Clients will receive a personal-use license for the purchased images. Commercial use, resale, or editing is not permitted without prior consent.

7. Client Responsibility

• Please ensure your dog is safe, well-exercised, and under control for the duration of the session.
• While every effort is made to get beautiful shots, the temperament and behaviour of your pet may affect the final outcome.
• You are responsible for the safety and supervision of all animals and people attending the shoot.

8. Liability

• The photographer will take the utmost care with your session and images. In the unlikely event of loss or technical failure, liability is limited to the return of any session fees paid.
• The photographer is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage during the session.

9. Gift Vouchers

• Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are non-refundable. They may not be redeemed for cash or combined with other offers.
